What is cotton fabric?
Pure cotton fabric is made of cotton as raw material and produced by textile process. It has the characteristics of moisture absorption, moisturizing, heat resistance, alkali resistance and hygiene. In general, cotton fabrics have better moisture absorption and heat resistance and are comfortable to wear.
Features:
Hygroscopicity: Cotton fiber has good hygroscopicity. Under normal conditions, the fiber can absorb water into the surrounding atmosphere. Its moisture content is 8-10%, so it contacts human skin and makes people feel soft without stiff. If the humidity of the cotton cloth increases and the ambient temperature is high, the water content in the fiber will all evaporate and disperse, so that the fabric maintains a water balance state, which makes people feel comfortable.
Warmth: Because cotton fiber is a poor conductor of heat and electricity, the heat transfer coefficient is extremely low, and because cotton fiber itself has porosity and high elasticity, a large amount of air can be accumulated between fibers, and air is a poor conductor of heat and electricity. Therefore, pure cotton fiber textiles have good warmth, and wearing cotton fabrics makes people feel warm.
Heat resistance: The cotton fabric has good heat resistance. When the temperature is below 110 °C, it will only cause the water on the fabric to evaporate without damaging the fiber. Therefore, the cotton fabric is worn at normal temperature, and the washing and dyeing have no effect on the fabric. Therefore, the cotton fabric is improved in washability and wear resistance.
Alkali resistance: cotton fiber has greater resistance to alkali. Cotton fiber does not break in alkali solution. This property is good for washing and disinfecting impurities after washing. It can also be used for pure cotton textiles. Dyeing, printing and various processing to produce more new varieties of cotton.
Hygiene: Cotton fiber is a natural fiber, its main component is cellulose, and a small amount of waxy substances and nitrogen and pectin. The cotton fabric has been inspected and practiced in many aspects. The fabric is in contact with the skin without any stimulation, and has no negative effect. It is beneficial to the human body for a long time and has good sanitary performance.
Cleaning method:
1, Can use a variety of detergents, can be hand-washed or machine-washed, but because of the poor flexibility of cotton fiber, so do not use large frustration when washing, so as not to change the shape of the clothes, affecting the size;
2, White clothing can be washed with high-alkali detergent at high temperature, bleaching, underwear can not be soaked in hot water, so as to avoid yellow sweat spots. Other color shirts are best washed with cold water. Do not use detergents or washing powders containing bleaching ingredients to avoid discoloration. Do not drop the washing powder directly onto the cotton fabric to avoid partial discoloration.
3, Light color, white can be soaked for 1 to 2 hours after washing and decontamination effect is better. Do not soak the dark color for too long, so as to avoid fading, it should be washed in time, and a spoonful of salt can be added to the water to make the clothes not fade;
4, Dark clothes should be washed separately from other clothes to avoid dyeing;
5, When the clothes are washed and drained, they should be stacked up, squeezed out of the water or rolled up with a towel to squeeze the water, and can not be twisted by force, so as not to let the clothes go. Do not drip dry, so that clothes will be over-shaped after drying;
6. After washing and dehydrating, it should be quickly flattened to reduce wrinkles. Except for white fabrics, do not expose to sunlight, avoiding the oxidation of cotton due to exposure, thus reducing the service life of the clothes and causing fading and yellowing. If drying in sunlight, it is recommended to dry the inside.
